3/1/2010 - BMA March Dinner Keynote and Afternoon Workshop

BMA March Dinner Keynote: Breaking Boundaries and Succeeding in a Social World

Attendees will receive a New Media Guide by the Air Force Emerging Technology Division

Larry Clavette

For the past decade, the U.S. Air Force has been breaking the rules by investing heavily in marketing and communication, particularly new media, to interact with other agencies and the public. Not the normal image of a tight-lipped agency. Larry Clavette will share how the Air Force Public Affairs team leads the way in developing strategies that include Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, podcasts/vodcasts and blogging. Attendees will learn why universities use his New Media Guide as required reading, and why it’s a “handbook” for many of today’s marketers. Click to learn more and register.

Afternoon Workshop: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Social Media

Paul BoveFor some, social media may feel like the “bright, shiny object,” something that captures our attention before we move on to the next new thing. But for organizations using it right, such as the U.S. Air Force, social media is here to stay. Paul Bove will tell you how a well thought out strategy before every blog, Twitter or Facebook posting will ensure you achieve key marketing objectives. Because any good marketer and strategist knows that if you don’t know where you’re going, then any road will take you there. Click here to learn more and register.
