Resume Review Program

The Student Resume Review is an annual scholarship event hosted by BMA as part of their commitment to give back to the community. This event provides college students from around the Denver Metro area an opportunity to participate in live, mock-interviews and have their resumes reviewed by marketing professionals. The students not only receive candid feedback on their resume and interviewing skills, but also have the opportunity to compete for scholarship money and interview for real internships or entry level positions.

This year's Student Resume Review was held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 9 am to 4 pm at University of Denver School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management.

The 2009 Competition:

2009 Student Scholarship WinnersOn April 8, 2009, we had 11 talented students participate in the scholarship event from 6 different Universities (CU Boulder, CSU, DU, Regis, UCD, and UNC). Each student was interviewed by 3 teams of 2 judges each, all of whom had open internship or entry level positions the students were competing for. Each interview was a 7-minute micro-interview, which allowed the student to practice making the best, first-impression. When the students were not in their interviews, they met in small round-table teams to have their resumes critiqued and discuss various interviewing and resume topics with other professionals.
